Kajian bentuk lahan wilayah pesisir kota padang sebagai peredam rayapan tsunami
Abstract: Case of September
30th, 2009 earthquake with a magnitude of 7.6 SR is very dangerous for the
coast of West Sumatra because it can cause a tsunami. Diverse forms of land on
the coast of West Sumatra Padang influence on creep tsunami if at any time the
tsunami struck. Each of these landforms that affect different creep effects in
case of a tsunami. Through this study analyzed the characteristics of landforms
and land use in coastal areas of the city of Padang in an effort to minimize
the creep area tsunami in Padang. Landform coastal area of Padang, which can
reduce creep tsunami directly namely denudasional eroded hills weak. This hill
has a hilly relief with a large enough height. Other forms of land that is not
the form of coastal land has a good level of damping tsunami that isolated
hills. Efforts should be made to optimize the shape of the land as the tsunami
absorbers restore coastal forest functions, optimizing the function of coral
reefs, making the building non-physical and physical mitigation.
