STUDI VIABILITAS DAN POLA PERTUMBUHAN Bacillus megaterium PADA KONSENTRASI MOLASE DAN WAKTU INKUBASI YANG BERBEDA
ABSTRACT: This study
was aim to
determine the growth
pattern of Bacillus
megaterium probiotic bacteria on varying the concentration of molasses,
the combination effect of molasses concentration and incubation time on total
of Bacillus megaterium probiotic acteria
and viability of
Bacillus megaterium probiotic
bacteria at the
end of incubation on varying
molasses concentration. Varying the concentration of molasses were made from
molasses concentration of 0% (NB), molasses concentration of 1%, molasses concentration
of 2% and 3% molasses
concentration with an
incubation period of 12
weeks. Data of
patterns growth and
viability of Bacillus
megaterium probiotic
bacteria on the
final incubation in
molasses concentration variation
were obtained from the average total of Bacillus megaterium bacteria
every week. Data of concentration
molasses and incubation
time combination on
total of Bacillus megaterium probiotic
bacteria were analyzed
statistically by Brown
Forsythe test. Differences between
treatments were tested
using the Games
Howell. The results
of total bacteria showed
differences growth patterns
Bacillus megaterium bacteria
on molasses concentration variation. Statistical analysis showed that
combination effect of molasses concentration and incubation time influenced the
total probiotic bacteria of
Bacillus megaterium. Viability
of Bacillus megaterium
probiotic bacteria at the
end of the incubation period on varying the concentration of molasses is still
good.
