PRODUKSI BIOETANOL DARI JERAMI PADI DENGAN METODE SIMULTANEOUS SACCHARIFICATION FERMENTATION (SSF)

Abstract: Production  of  bioethanol  from  rice  straw  has  been  carried  out.  Rice  straw  was  used  as  main material  for  bioethanol  production.  Pretreatment  firstly  has  been  done  to  release  cellulose  from lignin. By using mixture of NaOH 2% and NH4OH with varied concentration from 2% to 10%. Ratio  of  rice  straw  :  mixture  of  NaOH-NH4OH  in  pretreatment  varied  ratio  1:10,  1:15,  1:20. Optimum  pretreatment  resulted  in  NaOH  2%  and  NH4OH  6%  with  ratio  of  rice  straw  and mixture of NaOH-NH4OH 1:15. Result of rice straw saccharification by using extract of cellulose enzyme  from  Trichoderma  viride  strain  T1  Sk  against  pure  substrat  CMC  showed  enzyme activityas 0.015 unit. Saccharification also has been done against amount of rice straw substrate from  0.1  g  to  1  g  and  saccarification  time  from  30  to  105  minutes.  Maximum  concentration  of glucose was 182,9 µg/L given by 0,6 g rice straw substrate with optimum saccharification for 60 minutes.  Ethanol  produced  as  2,0151  mL  from  3  mL  Volume  produced  for  144  hours fermentation time
