PENGARUH Co(II) PADA TRANSPOR Ni(II) MELALUI TEKNIK MEMBRAN CAIR FASA RUAH DENGAN DIMETILGLIOKSIM SEBAGAI ZAT PEMBAWA

Abstract: The influence of Co(II) on Ni(II) transported by dimethylglyoxime as carrier through bulk liquid membrane  has been investigated. The Concentration  of Ni(II) and  Co(II)  that has transported to receiving  phase  and  remaining  in  donor  phase  were  determined  by  atomic  absorption spectrophotometry  at  λmax  232  nm  and  λmax  240,7  nm.  The  optimum  conditions  for  transport process of Ni(II) was used at pH 4 in donor phase, dimethylglyoxime concentration was 6.8 x 10-4 M in membrane phase, 0.05 M Na2EDTA concentration at pH 4 in receiving phase and stirred for 4  hours.  In  all  these  optimum  conditions  the  percentage  of  Ni(II)  transported  in  acceptor  phase was  about  88%  and  the  remaining  in  donor  phase  was  about  8%.  On  the  influence  of  Co(II) concentration on the transport of Ni(II) using all optimum conditions. The concentration of Co(II) was  1.7  x  10-4  M  and  greater  than  1.7  x  10-4  M  influence  for  transport  Ni(II)  to  acceptor  phase where significantly different from percentage of Ni(II) at optimum conditions.
