Pengaruh Penerapan Reality Based Learning Terhadap Hasil Belajar Biologi Siswa Kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013

ABSTRACT: The  purpose  of  this  research  was  to  know  the  influence  of  Reality Based Learning  approach  toward biology learning achievement of X  graders  of SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta in the academic year of 2012/2013.
This study  was  a  quasi experimental  research. The research design was used  post-test only  with  nonequivalent  control  group  design  with  the  experiment  group  applying  Reality Based Learning  aprroach  in experimental group and classical course, question-answer and exsperiment method in control group. The population of research was  all X graders of SMA Negeri  5  Surakarta  in  the  academic  year  of  of  2012/2013.  The  sampling  technique  used cluster sampling.    The sample of this research consisted of  X-5  grader  as experiment group and X-6 grader as control group with 30 students for each class. Techniques of collecting data for  learning  achievement  were  test  and  non-test  methods.  The  test  method  included  an objective  multiple  choice  test  and  esay.  The  non-test  method  included  documentation, observation and questionnaire. The research hypothesis used t test.
This  research  concluded  that  the  application  of  Reality  Based  Learning  approachaffected  significantly  the  biology  learning  achievement  of  X  graders  of  SMA  Negeri  5Surakarta in cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains.
