HUBUNGAN DURASI MENDENGARKAN MUSIK METAL DENGAN TINGKAT KEPARAHAN TINITUS PADA ANGGOTA KOMUNITAS LOSS STROM YANG AKTIF BERMAIN BAND DI SURABAYA
ABSTRACT: Tinnitus ia a voice
perception without voice source from the outside. This condition maybe
consist by member
of band with
metal genre unawarable.
The aim of research to analyze the correlation between duration of
listening music of metal genre and the severity of tinnitus.
Correlative observation study
design with cross
sectional approach. The independent variable
is duration of
listening music of
metal genre and
the dependent variable is the severity of tinnitus. Population of Loss
Strom community is a member
of the community
who actively playing
band numbered 57
people, with a sampling
technique of non-probability sampling
with purposive sampling assign samples
by selecting samples
among populations in
accordance with the desired researchers. The research
instrument used questionnaire and observation sheet. The research were analyzed
with Spearment rho correlation test.
The result showed that the severity of tinnitus most were mild (76%),
then a slight (14%) and moderate (10%). The result also found that the duration
of the dominant influence on
the severity of
tinnitus is 120
minutes and 240
minutes duration, then duration
of 180 minutes
that most affect
the severity of
tinnitus. Spearman’s rho test
result indicates that
there is a
relationship between the duration of listening to metal music with
the severity of tinnitus ρ = 0,005 (ρ<α = 0,05). Implication of research
result show the duration has an important role to the severity
of tinnitus. The
research is useful
for manage duration
during training process to minimize the increase in the severity of
tinnitus.
