THE PREPARATION OF INSOLUBLE HOLE-TRANSPORT LAYER VIA CATIONIC INDUCED RING-OPENING POLYMERISATION OF OXETANE-DERIVATIZED MATERIALS BY POLY(3,4-ETHYLENEDIOXYTHIOPHENE)

Abstract: The  oxetane-derivatized  hole  conductors  as  well  as  oxetane-derivatized  electroluminescent materials can be polimerised via cationic ring-opening polymerisation without deterioration of their electrical and  electro-optical  properties.  It  is  allowed  for  the  fabrication  of  electronic  multilayer  devices  via  solution process. The polymerization is initiated by oxetane ring opening and results an insoluble layer. In this work, this  polymerization  is  called  crosslinking  and  it  is  initiated  by  proton  which  is  supplied  by    poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene).  The insoluble hole transport layer is successfully fabricated by added NASbF6 and N(C4H9)4SbF6  as  electrolyte  salts.  Their  applications  in  hole-only  devices  show  the  threshold  voltage  about 75V/µm.
