Abstract: Shaved machine is a
machine that used to produce rami fiber from rami leaves. Spinning machine is a
machine that used to produce rami rope from rami fiber. Processing of rami
leaves into rami rope has been done with traditional machine. These machines
are designed to increase the production of rami rope. Shaved machine
design includes the
design framework of
the machine ,
the roller, the
roller shaft ,
chain, sprocket and bearing. While the spinning machine design includes
designing the framework of the machine , the main shaft , gears , roller shaft
, spinning shaft, chain and sprocket , pulleys , belts , and bearings. From the
results of this design was produced the dimension of the both machine. Each of
both machines can be operated by one person with a power of about 88.4
watts.
