UPAYA INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR MIGRATION (IOM) DALAM MENANGANI MASALAH IMIGRAN GELAP DI INDONESIA
Abstract: The writing is
motivated by the potential of Indonesia as a transit area for illegal
immigrants and a very large number of immigrants. The Indonesian government
deems it necessary in cooperation with IOM in dealing with immigrants and
refugees in Indonesia. IOM is an intergovernmental organization in the field of
primary humane and orderly migration for the common good. Indonesia as a
transit area for illegal immigrants and a very large number of immigrants
caused the IOM to come to Indonesia.The results showed that the IOM is
assisting the Government of Indonesian to develop and implement policies,
legislation and administrative mechanisms of migration by providing technical
assistance and training to the officials of migration and migration help
needed. IOM supports capacity building at national and regional levels and
provide direct assistance to immigrants.
