SELF EFFICACY DAN MOTIVASI BERPRESTASI SEBAGAI PREDIKTOR PROKRASTINASI AKADEMIK PADA MAHASISWA
ABSTRACT: This research
is head for
knowing the relationship
between self efficacy and
achievement motivation with
academic procrastination
among undergraduate student
in UNISSULA. The number
of subject on
this research is 250
undergraduate students. This research
use self efficacy
scale based on
Bandura’s aspect, achievement motivation scale based on characteristic
of individual who has achievement
motivation from McClelland
as well as academic
procrastination scale based
on the six
academic areas from Solomon and
Rothblum. Major hypothesis which is submitted is that
there is relationship
between self efficacy
and achievement motivation with
procrastination.
Furthermore, the first
minor hypothesis which is submitted is that there is negative
relationship between self efficacy
and procrastination. The
second minor hypothesis which is
submitted is that there is negative relationship between achievement
motivation and procrastination. From
the result of data
analysis, it is
found R =
0.432, F =
28.392 with p = 0.000 (p
< 0.01). This
results show that
major hypothesis is accepted. Result of the first minor
hypothesis analysis is found ry1-2
= -0.407 with
p = 0.000
(p < 0.01).
It is mean
that the first
minor hypothesis is accepted.
While result of
the second minor hypothesis analysis is found ry2-1 =
-0.048 with p = 0.447 (p < 0.05). It is mean that the second minor
hypothesis is rejected.
