KEPENTINGAN RUSIA DALAM PEMBENTUKAN SHANGHAI COOPERATION ORGANIZATION (SCO)
Abstract: In establishment of
the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Russia have interests which consist
of national interests and international interests. As for Russia's national
interests in the establishment of the SCO is perceived interests and desired by
Russia as a sovereign state, which consists of: economic interest for improving
the country's economy through economic ties with China and other countries in
Central Asia, especially in the case of oil and natural gas; political
interests and security to protect its citizens, its territory, and maintaining
its political system from the threat and influence of another country;
ideological interests to defend or protect the state ideology in the countries
of Central Asia from the threat of another state ideology. While international
interest in the establishment of the SCO are Russia Complementary interests
between Russia, China, and countries in the Central Asia region for one reason
or another have a closeness which, though not identical, but at least these countries
are able to form the basis of agreement on issues in particular the
establishment of the SCO to safeguard the economic resources of oil and gas in
the Caspian Sea from the influence of the control and domination of other
countries that the U.S. and EU; stem and minimize movement of separatism and
extremism, as well as the expansion of influence U.S, NATO and EU in Central
Asia.
