OPTIMALISASI TUGAS DAN FUNGSI PUBLIC RELATIONS DI PT. NUSA HALMAHERA MINERAL (NHM) [STUDI PROGRAM COORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR) PADA MASYARAKAT DESA SOSEL KEC. MALIFUT KAB. HALMAHERA UTARA]
Abstract: Public relations as
a management function that builds and maintains a good relationship between the
organization and rewarding public that affect the success or failure of the
organization. PR functions include the following: Supporting the management activities
and achieve organizational objectives. Creating a two-way communication on a
reciprocal basis by spreading information of the company to the public and to
channel public opinion on the company. Serving the public and provide advice to
the leadership of the organization in the public interest. Harmonious
relationships between organizations and the public, both internal and external.
Method, this study used qualitative methods, namely a contextual study
made man as an instrument, and adjusted to a reasonable situation in relation
to the collection of data that are generally qualitative.
Results, Part CSR PT. NHM able to function well as part of a public
relations by always providing clear information to the public related to CSR
programs, in the fields of education, agriculture, health and infrastructure
development. Medium of communication used by PT. NHM particular CSR is part of
modern communication media such as the internet can be accessed on the web
company, but it is also the company is always to approach directly, face to
face with the communities and local authorities to determine community
development problems that exist around the mine.
Advice, Keep the intensity of the meeting between the community and the
PT. NHM particular part of CSR, in order to obtain information about the
development of communities around the mine are better targeted.
And CSR program PT. NHM should also be informed through electronic media
by making a special advertisement in the local area or the national television,
radio and the media, as well as reproduce billboards mounted on villages around
the company.
