METODE LOCATION QUOTIENTDAN SHIFT SHAREUNTUK MENGHITUNG POTENSI EKONOMI SEKTOR INDUSTRI PENGOLAHAN NON-MIGAS KOTA MEDAN, TAHUN 2008-2012
ABSTRACT: Economic development
in an area intended to improve the welfare of the people in the area. This
study aimed to reveal the role of the business sector, the field of non-oil
processing industry to economic growth in the city of Medan from 2008 until
2012. Using location quotient, shift share analysis, and typology of economic
sectors of the results of the study can be summarized as follows 1) dominant
sector of sector non-oil manufacturing business; ii) there are 2 (two) groups
of non-oil processing industry and the rapid industrial growth and 7 (seven)
groups of non-oil manufacturing industry growth is slow; iii) economic growth
of the manufacturing sector, the field of non-oil business in the city of Medan
from 2008 until 2012, the average per year was 3,17%; and iv) typology based on
the economic sector are devided 3 (three) groups of non-oil processing industry
economic growth within 6 (six) groups of non-oil manufacturing rapd economic
growth.
