MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENYELESAIKAN SOAL CERITA MATEMATIKA MELALUI METODE BERMAIN PERAN DI KELAS II SEKOLAH DASAR NEGERI WATUSIGAR I NGAWEN GUNUNGKIDUL
Abstract: This research aimed
to improve the students ability to deal with mathematics story problems by
using role-play method on 2nd grade of Watugisir I Elementary School of Ngawen
in Gunugkidul regency. This research employed action research design model
using Kemmis and Mc Taggarts model. There were two action cycles on this
research. Each cycle contained of four steps, which were planning cycle, action
cycle, observation cycle and reflection cycle. The subjects of this research
were as many as 19 second grade students of Watugisir 1 Elementary School in
Gunungkidul regency. The data collection instruments which were employed in
this research were observation sheet and test.After collecting the data, the
researcher analyzed them using descriptive quantitative and qualitative method.
The research results showed that role playing methode was able to improve the
students achievement in asnwering mathematics story problems. The improvement
of Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) on the first cycle was 27 points with 68, 42
as the average score. The improvement on the second cycle was 37 points and the
average score was 74, 74.
