MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS BELAJAR (active learning) SISWA BERKARAKTER CERDAS DENGAN PENDEKATAN SAINS TEKNOLOGI (STM)
Abstract: Purpose of the
research is to know improvement of learning activity with character intelligent
and creativity student among the fifth grade students of SD Negeri III-162
Banjarsari Surakarta in study IPA by using Sains Teknologi Masyarakat (STM)
approach.The research uses a qualitative method with a research type of
classroom action research (CAR) consisting of two cycles. The research
procedure consists of four phases, that are planning, action implementation,
observation, and reflection. Subject of the research is the fifth grade
students of SD Negeri Sumber III-162 amounting to 37 students. Data is
collected by using observation, documentation, and test.Based on result of the
research, it can be concluded that IPA learning by using Sains Teknologi Masyarakat
(STM) approach is able to improve learning activity with character intelligent
and creativity student. Improvement of the students learning activity could be
seen in the increased of observation paper. In beginning condition, average
learning activity was 66,46 or in poor category. The average learning activity
increased to 71,51 or in moderate activity in first cycle, and it increased to
80,35 or in good category in second cycle. Thereby, applications of Sains
Teknologi Masyarakat (STM) approach can be used to improve IPA learning
activity among the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 3 Ngraji Purwodadi
Grobogan of 2009/2010 Academic Year.
