PROKRASTINASI AKADEMIK DITINJAU DARI EFIKASI DIRI DAN DUKUNGAN SOSIAL ORANG TUA PADA PESERTA DIDIK KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 16 SURAKARTA TAHUN AJARAN 2014 / 2015
ABSTRACT: Procrastination
academic term is not something new, but it is already become such kind of
habit. The lack of conviction in student to done an assignment make them
postpone time to study or school assignment, until the assignment is not done
and accumulate. Besides that, social support from the parents have big
influence to students, so it is hoped that parents can comforting and more
supporting students to study or do their assignment.
This research aimed to know the relationship between efficacy and
parents’ social support with procrastination academic on student of VIII grade
SMPN 16 Surakarta year 2014/ 2015. This research used quantitative approach,
and used correlational descriptive research. The analysis used multiple linier
regression analysis statistic technique. Population of this research is all of
students of VIII grade SMPN 16 Surakarta year 2014/ 2015 sum of 173 students.
Sample in this research are 60 students. The instrument that is used was in the
form of questionnaire, covering self-efficacy variable, parents’ supporting,
and procrastination academic.
According to the result of analysis, it was derived three conclusions.
(1) There is negative relation between self-efficacy and procrastination
academic that is showed by r= -0.760 with significant score 0.000 (2) there is
negative relation between parents’ social support and procrastination academic that
is showed with r= 0.488 within significant score 0.000, and (3) there is
negative relation between self-efficacy and parents’ social support with
procrastination academic that is showed by score F= 40.843 within significant
score 0.000. The effective contribution that is gave from self-efficacy and
parents’ social support to procrastination academic is 58,9%.
