PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER TERHADAP MOTIVASI BELAJAR PADA SISWA KELAS XI SMK NEGERI 4 KLATEN TAHUN PELAJARAN 2013/2014
ABSTRACT: The purpose of this
study was to determine the effect of character education on students'
motivation in school in class XI student of SMK Negeri 4 Klaten.
This study is a design experiment using the pretest - posttest non
Equivalent Design , which studies the use of two groups , each of which acts as
an experimental group and a control group . Giving a pretest conducted on two
groups , while giving treatment only in the experimental group and the end in
the posttest in both groups so that comparable results from the two groups .
Treatment in the form of integrated character education in guidance and
counseling services . The population is a class XI student of SMK Negeri 4
Klaten . Sampling using purposive random sampling technique . The sample in
this study was a class XI student of SMK Negeri 4 Klaten , amounting to 78
people . Source of data derived from primary data , namely the class XI
students of SMK Negeri 4 Klaten and secondary data that BK teacher . Techniques
of data collection using questionnaire and interview instruments . Analysis
using independent sample t - test through SPSS version 18.0 for windows .
These results indicate that of the t-test results obtained at the price
of 4.726 with a significance of 0.000 . The significance value 0.000 < 0.05
, then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted , so it is stated that there is a
significant difference between the experimental group that had been treated
with a control group who did not receive treatment .
Conclusions This study is the character education has on students'
motivation penaruh class XI SMK 4 Klaten .
