UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIKA SISWA MELALUI PENDEKATAN PENDIDIKAN MATEMATIKA REALISTIK
Abstract: Mathematics is a
symbolic language that can be used as a meaning of communication ideas or
mathematical ideas. Mathematics also includes language known as the language of
mathematics. The learning process in the classroom can not be separated from
the interactions between students or between students and teachers. Teachers
have role as facilitators in guiding students toward establishing their own
knowledge. RME is such kind learning approach which is designed to improve math
communication ability of students. The approach encourage the students to
discover math concepts by constructing their own knowledge that they have found
on their daily live. The results of the research describe that the
implementation of realistic mathematics education approach is able to improve
math communication ability of students.
