SINTESIS FASA AURIVILLIUS LAPIS EMPAT SrBi4-xLaxTi4O15 DENGAN METODE LELEHAN GARAM

Abstract: Synthesis of four layers Aurivillius phase SrBi4-xLaxTi4O15 (x = 0 and 0,5) has been carried out by molten salts method using eutectic mixture Na2SO4/K2SO4 (1:1 molar ratio) as the flux. The products were characterized by X-ray diffraction powder (XRD) and their patterns showed the forming of four layers Aurivillius with typical peaks at 2θ arround : 12,18o, 17,13o, 21,44o, 23,23o, 27,65o, 30,26o, 32,82o, 39,20o, 39,63o, 47,27o, 47,92o, 52,00o and 57,22o. All of the products contained impurities predicted as the perovskite and three layers of Aurivillius phases. The four layers Aurivillius phases has ortorombik symmetry with the space group A21am. Increasing composition of concentration La3+ in the sample give increasing of perovskite phase of impurity. The morphology of the samples were characterized by Scanning electron Microscopy (SEM) and the sample with x = 0 was formed plates typical compounds of Aurivillius phase.
