OPTIMASI TRANSPOR ASAM SALISILAT MELALUI TEKNIK MEMBRAN CAIR FASA RUAH

Abstract: Transport of salicylic acid can be done through bulk liquid membrane technique phase consisted of a solution of salicylic acid 1.5 x 10-4 M as the source phase, NaOH solution as feed phase and chloroform as the membrane phase. Concentration of salicylic acid that transport to feed phase and remaining in the source phase remaining was determined using UV-VIS spectrophotometer  at 296.19 nm. The phenol concentration was also determined using UV-VIS spectrophotometer with reagent 4-aminoantipirin at 510 nm. Technical operations assisted experiments with a magnetic stirrer stirring at 340 rpm. The result showed that the optimum conditions for the transport of salicylic acid at pH 2 in the source phase, 0.2 M NaOH concentration for the feed phase, the transport time  60 minutes and salicylic acid which transport to feed phase was 78.17%, while remaining in source phase of 10.89%. Phenol is transported at optimum conditions where the source phase containing phenol at pH 2 with concentration of 2.1276 x 10-4 M, 0.1 M NaOH feed phase, the transport time of 120 minutes, stirring speed at 340 rpm and time of 15 minutes equilibrium percentage obtained phenol phase transport to receiving 92% and the percentage of remaining phenol in source phase of 3.21%.
