ISOLASI SENYAWA STEROID DARI FRAKSI AKTIF ANTI BAKTERI BUAH MELUR (Brucea javanica (L) Merr)

Abstract: Isolation of steroid compounds from the melur fruit (Brucea javanica (L) Merr) has been performed. Extraction is done by maceration method using hexane and ethyl acetate solvents. The compound isolated in the form of crystal clear results 122.8 to 124.1 °C melting point. Testing with Liebermann-Burchard reagent positive as steroid compounds, and two-dimensional TLC with different solvent ratio shows a single spot. Ultra Violet (UV) spectroscopic data provide maximum absorption at a wavelength of 206.6 nm peak and by spectroscopy Infra Red (IR) 3443.28 cm-1, 2933.2 cm-1, 2863.77 cm-1, 1729.83 cm-1, 1458.89 cm-1, 1375.96 cm-1, 1277.61 cm-1 and 1070.3 cm-1. The results of the analysis of the melting point, Liebermann-Burchard test, UV, and IR spectrum of the isolated compound was estimated steroid compounds. Bacterial inhibition with 5% concentration of S. aureus 10.6% with number of bacteria 27.697 cfu/mL and E. coli 13.2%, with number of bacteria 34.127 cfu/mL.
