IMPLEMENTASI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN READING MAP STUDENT TEAMS ACHIEVEMENT DIVISIONS UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS DAN HASIL BELAJAR BIOLOGI PESERTA DIDIK KELAS X IPA SMA INSAN CENDEKIA SHALAHUDIN MALANG
Abstract: Reading activity can
increase the understanding of concept. Through reading learners are expected to
construct his knowledge. Efforts to assist learners in constructing knowledge
and understanding of the concept can be done by creating concept maps. Concept
maps are expected to accommodate learners to associate the old knowledge with
new knowledge. Learner’s knowledge deepened by sharing or discussing through
cooperative learning, one of them is Student Teams Achievement Divisions. The
increasing of learner’s interest in reading maps in Student Teams Achievement
Divisions is expected to increase critical thinking skills and biology learning
outcomes. This study classified in qualitative research with classroom action
research. The method used for data collection was the direct survey to the data
retrieval. Subjects in this study were Tenth Grade Students Science Class of
InsanCendekiaShalahudin High School Malang. Critical thinking skills were
assessed by using the critical thinking skills rubric, the biology learning
outcomes assessed by the test and concept map assessed with concept maps
rubric. Field notes are made as factual supporting data for the data collection
in the field. Analysis of the data in the study is using descriptive analysis
of all the data findings. The result of research showed that implementation of
Student Teams Achievement Divisions model improve critical thinking skills and
biology learning outcome of tenth grade science class student of
InsanCendekiaShalahudin High School Malang.
