AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN DAN ISOLASI SENYAWA METABOLIT SEKUNDER DARI KULIT BATANG SRIKAYA (Annona squamosa Linn)

Abstract: Antioxidant activities and isolation of secondary metabolite compound have been studied from Annona squamona L bark extracts. The test of antioxidant activity used DPPH radical scavenging method, and secondary metabolite compound isolated by using maseration and flash column chromatography methods. Methanol, hexane, and ethyl acetate extracts had antioxidant activities 44.7, 19.0 and 13.4 % of inhibition respectively. The isolated compound was a triterpenoid that was white solid and melting at 126.9 – 128.5 oC. The compound had some functional groups, there were C=O (carbonyl), (OH) hydroxyl, C-O (ether), (C-H) aliphatic and (CH3) methyl. The antioxidant activity of this compound was 6.5 % of inhibition.
