PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE CIRC (COOPERATIVE INTEGRATED READING AND COMPOSITION) BERBANTUAN LKS UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR BIOLOGI (SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 14 JEMBER TAHUN PELAJARAN 2012/2013)

Abstract: Improvement in the learning process needs to be established and developed to create  interactive  learning  between  teachers  and  students.  In  this case, students are required to tak e an active role in the learning process. But in fact, learning in SMP 14 Jember  is  still  the  conventional,  where  the  delivery  system  is  more  dominated  by teachers, while students tend to be silent and passively receive course materials. This may result in low motivation and student learning outcomes, but it is also of interest to read  too  low  so  students  do  not  understand  the  concept  of  the  material  presented. Therefore, we need a model of learning appropriate. One model of learning that can be used  is  the  CIRC  (Cooperative  Integrated  Reading  and  Composition)  aided student work sheets. The application of this learning model aims to determine whether or not to increase motivation and learning outcomes of students of SMP Negeri 14 Jember. The subject  of  this action research is the eighth grade students class D of SMP Negeri 14 Jember  first  semester  of  academic  year  20012/2013.  Based  on  analysis  showed  an increase  students  in  motivation  in  attention  of  4,19  (13,09%),  aspects  of  relevance increased  by  5,56  (17,36%),  aspect  confidence  increased by  3,16 (9,87%), and aspects of  satisfaction  increased  by  4,52  (14,13%)  than  that  obtained  increasing  mastery  of learning outcomes in the classical i.e cognitive increased by 24.2% and psychomotor domains increased by 13.4%.
