PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE THINK, TALK, WRITE(TTW)DENGAN TEKNIK TALKING STICK DALAM MENINGKATKAN KARAKTER DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA-BIOLOGI (SISWA KELAS VII-E SMP NEGERI 2 KALISAT SEMESTER GENAP TAHUN AJARAN 2012/2013)
Abstract: Cooperative learning
model of Think, Talk, Write (TTW) was a model developed byHuinkerandLaughlin.
This model basedon the understandingthat learningwasasocialbehavior.
Inthislearning model,students were encouragedtothink, speak, andthenwrite
downrelated toa topic. Colaborated with TalkingSticktechniques can
makestudentsmoreconduciveandenjoyable. Thepurposeofthis researchwastoincrease student’scharacter,
achievement, and completeness ofstudent achievement using the Cooperative
Learning model of Think, Talk, Write (TTW) with Talking Stick on sub biology
topicsEnvironmental in class VII E SMP Negeri 2 Kalisat Jember. The research
was Classroom Action Research. Result of this research, there was step-up
character from pre cycle until cycle 2 that was inquiring sense character
worked up to BT (Not Appeared) with percentage 67.10%. Then discipline
character increased on MB (Start Growing) with percentage 51,31%. Then
responsibility character increased on MK (Start Consistent) with percentage
47,36%. The increase of average achievement was 77,1 and classical thoroughness
in cognitive aspect was increased become 78,94%.It concluded thatcooperative
learning model ofThink, Talk, Write (TTW) with theTalking Stick can increased
students character, achievement, and completeness of students achievement in
class VII E SMP Negeri 2 Kalisat Jember.
