PERAN SISTEM INFORMASI MANAJEMEN DAN INTELLECTUAL CAPITAL TERHADAP EFEKTIFITAS IMPLEMENTASI TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT DALAM MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS JASA PENDIDIKAN DAN IMPLIKASINYA TERHADAP KINERJA PERGURUAN TINGGI

ABSTRACT: Improvement of service quality for education institutions is one of the key factors in the competition international in this globalization era. Total Quality Management (TQM) is an approach to improvement the quality continually from every business aspect and organization totality. In its application, TQM implementation needs support from another factors that is: intellectual capital and management information system to increase service quality and performance of higher education. The purpose of this research are analyze and verify  the effect of management information system and intellectual capital toward total quality management and their implication of  toward service quality at higher education certificated of ISO 9001 in Indonesia. The type of this research is descriptive and verification, while the method used both descriptive and verification  survey. The technique of this research is cross section and using stratified sampling technique. The sample size was 30 department at higher education certificated of ISO 9001 in Indonesia. The data will be analyzed by using descriptive analysis, simple regression and multiple regression. The results indicate that: 1) implementation of total quality management and academic service quality at higher education certificated of ISO 9001  in  Indonesia  have  been  generally  assessed  at  the  high  point,  while  management information system, intellectual capital and instructional service quality and performance at higher education certificated of ISO 9001 in Indonesia have been generally assessed at the enough point, 2) implementation of total quality management have significant effect toward service quality at higher education certificated of ISO 9001 in Indonesia, 3) Management information system and intellectual capital have effect to implementation of total quality management effectively in progressing service quality at higher education certificated of ISO 9001 in Indonesian, 4) the service quality have effect toward higher education performance at higher education certificated of ISO 9001 in Indonesian.
