KONSUMSI FAST FOOD REMAJA DI RESTORAN FAST FOOD, MAKASSAR TOWN SQUARE
Abstract: According to the
Health Education Authority, aged 15-34 years was the largest consumer of fast
food menus. Although in Indonesia there is no hard data, the situation can be
used as a mirror in our society, that the age range is a group of students and
young workers. This study aimed to determine what factors are causing the teens
love to eat fast food. The research was carried out at fast food restaurants
(KFC and Dunkin Donuts), Makassar Town Square. The study was a qualitative
study. Consists of two informants, the informants are ordinary teenagers who
come to the restaurant, totaling 13 people. And key informants consisted of
three people: two restaurant managers, and a teacher of Guidance and
Counselling (BK) on one of the leading high school in Makassar. Data were
collected through in-depth interviews, assisted with the records, tape
recorders, and cameras. To ensure the validity of the data, then do
triangulation of data, using different data sources to collect similar data.
Data processing was done manually by grouping the results according to the
purpose of research interviews, then conducted a content analysis, then
interpreted and presented in narrative form. From the results of this study
concluded that the factors predisposing youth to visit fast food restaurant was
the passion and the value / prestige they get, even if they already know the
negative impacts that will arise. enabling factor was a vigorous campaign by
the restaurant, especially in the promo, access, place and atmosphere, and
friendly service. While reinforcing factor was the role of peers, and the price
of food is not very heavy, especially if they were treated to by one of his
friends. It is recommended that adolescents should begin to reduce the
consumption of fast food.
