EFEKTIVITAS BUAH BELIMBING WULUH (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) UNTUK MEMBUNUH LARVA NYAMUK Anopheles aconitus INSTAR III
Abstract: Belimbing wuluh
(Averrhoa bilimbi L.) contains
akaloids and saponins,
which possess larvacidal properties. This study was aimed
to find out the effectiveness of Averrhoa bilimbi L. juice to kill Anopheles aconitus
instar III larvae. It was an experimentalstudy with
post-test-only-with-control-group design, in which the subjects were divided
into two groups, i.e. a treatment and control groups. Each treatment as wellas control
group consisted of 25 mosquito larvae, and
the treatments were given in quadruplicate. The death rates of larvae
treated with 2.0%, 2,5%, 3,0%, 3,5%, 4,0%, 4,5%, and 5% of Averrhoa bilimbi L.
juicewere 71%, 79%, 84%, 92%, 96%, 100% and 100%. Kruskall-Wallis analysis to
the data revealed that there was significant influence between the treatment
and thelarvae death at the dose 4,5%, with p=0,000 < α= 0,01.
