Perbandingan Ekspresi P53 pada Pterigium Primer Progresif Setelah Pemberian Injeksi Subkonjungtiva dengan Mitomicin C dan 5 Fluorourasil
Abstract: The aim of this
study is to determine the expression ratio of p53 in primary progressive
pterygium after subconjunctival injectionof Mitomicin C and 5 fluorouracil.
This study is quasi experimental with posttest only design, performed at
Sardjito Hospital and itsnetworks, are regrouped into 2 groups with injection
treatment subconjunctival mitomicin C or 5-FU 1 week before surgery.
Tissuestored in buffered formalin, staining with the monoclonal antibody DO-7,
mutant p53 expression is calculated per100cells, in 5 field ofview, 400x
magnification. There were 53 subjects, 27 specimens in MMC group and 26
specimens of group 5 FU. Not found significantdifferences in the
characteristics of subjects. In this study, the expression in p53 of MMC groups
was 5.71 ±1.83, and in 5FU groupwas 10.29 + 4.54 (p = 0.000). Variable age
showed a significant correlation of 0.29 and the average influence p53
expression. Themean expression of p53 in group Mitomicin C group lower than
5Fluorouracil group
