EVALUASI PROGRAM CHAMPIONSHIP SEBAGAI BENTUK CONTINUOUS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT (CQI)
ABSTRACT: Continuous Quality
Improvement (CQI) is
needed to fulfill
customer need on
health care services. Unfortunately, there
was inconsistency betweenChampionship Program
implementationand long-term quality improvement program
in Surabaya Oncology
Hospital. This was
adescriptiveevaluation
research with quantitativeapproach.
Questionnaires were deployed to 13 Championship Programcompilers and 29
participants. In Championship Program
implementation, the majority
of program compilers
and programparticipantswere committed. They
perceivedthat Championship Program
as a form
ofCQI.Spearman bivariate test
showed that there was
no significant correlation
between commitment and
perception ofprogramcompilers (p>0.05).
There was a significant correlation between perceptionsand commitment
ofprogramparticipants(p=0.015). It meant that the more important program
participants’ perception of the program
makes them more
committed. Meanwhile there were
still no indicatorsmeasuring program achievement. There was no special
allocation time to participate in
Championship Program. This
research showed that
the success ofCQI depend on the perception of
program participants about how important
this program was. It also dependson how committedparticipantsin the
program implementation. The program barrierswhich identified in this research
were participants-compilers feedback on the planning and implementation. The
feedback never been evaluated as program materials.
