REKAYASA MESIN PENGGILING JAGUNG JENIS BUR MILL DENGAN METODE DUA PERMUKAAN PLAT BERGERIGI

ABSTRACT: Milled corn is the main ingredient in the manufacture of animal feed which is consumed by large and small farmers. As a staple fodder then the level of smoothness of the corn mill to be adjusted to the age of animals, whether for fattening or production due to an effect on the growth of livestock. Corn milling technology has been obtained from the machine that works with the principle of collision (Hammer Mill) and grinding with the friction of the two plates are serrated (Burr Mill) Technology types of collisions of large capacity (1 to 1.5 tons / hour), this machine is effective, and easy to manufacture, but the weakness of the power used and the results of varying age’s mill. While Burr Mill type milling technology, have low initial cost, and milling capacity 200-300 kg / hour and the power used ranged from 1 to 1.5 hp or 1 / 3 of the power used by grinding crushed with the same capacity. For that, the design and manufacture of corn grinding machine Bur Mill with centrifugal system needs to be done.The purpose of this research is to engineer a model / prototype corn grinding machine Burr Mill type centrifugal system by developing several components, namely blade cutter with multiple cutting angles, a distance of estrangement knife setter component, and the inlet system and perform testing of prototypes to determine the capacity, efficiency pengilingan and grain size of the mill.From the results of this study was made later after the engine was tested and has succeeded in producing corn mill capacity of 110 kg / h with 900 blade angle average of the three distance gap, with the blade angle of 75 degrees is the capacity of corn 126.6 kg / h, and 600 blade angle is 137.3 kg / hr. The largest grain size is 30 dormitory at the third angle of the blade with a gap distance of 0.2 mm. Maximum mill capacity results obtained on the blade angle of 75 degrees.
