Rancang Bangun Kolektor Pelat Datar Energi Surya Untuk Sistem Pengeringan Pasca Panen

Abstract: Solar energy can be exploited directly and indirectly. Technology convert energy required to change radiations solar become other form energy. One of conversion of energy is in form of heat able to be used for the process of draining of agricultural production. Process draining represents important activity during after crops to increase the quality of agricultural product. Solar collector flat plate and temporary heat storage has been studied in this experiment. Paraffin, as phase change material (pcm) is used as  a working object in storage system. Storage system and solar collector isolated by glass wool, so heat transfer to surroundings could be minimizes. Storage capacity pcm is 2525 kj by melting time is 3 hours and 8 minutes in temperature melting. Experimental data acquisition research shows that its have the same average temperature in the room of dryer (= 69 , =61.5). The average efficiency from solar collector storage system is about 44,7% and efficiency theory is 50,5%. So based on this experiment, storage pcm solar collector system can be used as heat storage by increased source heat air and restore on it, and can be used again after head air source decreased. Dimensions solar collector flat plate and temporary heat storage system are 1000mm × 1000mm × 200mm and 5 copper pipes by diameter 15 mm for paraffin storage.
