PENGARUH VARIASI CUACA TERHADAP KETANGGUHAN HASIL LASAN PADA BAJA KARBON RENDAH
ABSTRACT: Lately, rain
with stronng blowing
wind often happen
that causes many
baliho and promotion
boards destroyed. It is very dangerous and also make traffic jam. To
avoid this problem, the construction of the support must use standard materials
and procedure. It might be that the
welded joint cannot stand against wind load that sometimes are overload.
The step of
the research were
that the welding
process were done
in the rain
condition and no
rain condition. The resullt
is that the
highest tension stress
is found when
the wwelding process
was done at temperature of 23 ºC
that was 6,4
% higher than
the tension stress
of the main
metal. It might
be that the welding process was influenced by the
rain water that it caused the growth of perlit were caused by the sprayed of
the rain water. The spread of the groth of ferit and perlit did not reach of
all weldin arrea, HAZ area and main
metal area so that many areas were dominated by ferit. It caused that the
hardness tend to be lower than carbon steel welding process at temperature of
29 ºC and 33 ºC.
