PENGGUNAAN CAMPURAN LUMPUR LAPINDO TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KUALITAS GENTENG KERAMIK
ABSTRACT: Nowadays, roof-tiles
are largely used
as one of
the common building
materials. In contrary
Lapindo mud, which keeps growing each day, need to be
thought on its advantages. Therefore many researches caught this phenomenon and
tried to
find out the
correlation between Lapindo
mud and roof-tiles
material. As results,
previous studies proved
that there are possibilities to apply Lapindo mud into ceramics material
mix, as well as into ceramic roof-tiles material with appropriate strength
values. Advance studies on the effect of the Lapindo mud use to the equality of
roof-tiles based on SNI 03-2095-1998 and PGKI NI-19 provided many information
on its effects against: roof-tiles, roof-tiles weight, roof-tiles cracks,
roof-tiles dot percentages, roof-tiles flatness,
its form-sizes, as
well as its
absorption. Furthermore, the perfect
mix of Lapindo
mud on producing
roof-tiles will give
advantages on increasing
strength and increasing impermeable values. While on the
other hand, too much Lapindo mud compositions will produce on deformation and
the increasing amount of cracks and dots. As mentioned before, a high-quality
of ceramic roof-tiles can be achieved from a perfect mix of Lapindo mud.
Therefore further researches are needed to investigate the optimum compositions
of Lapindo mud, in order to produce a high quality of Lapido ceramic
roof-tiles.
