STRATEGI PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT MELALUI PENGEMBANGAN HUTAN RAKYAT BERBASIS JELUTUNG RAWA DI KABUPATEN HULU SUNGAI UTARA, KALIMANTAN SELATAN
Abstract: This study aims to
(a) explore the problems and aspirations of communities in forest management,
and (b) formulate a strategy development/empowerment of the surrounding forest
management. Research activities undertaken in Tambak Sari Panji village,
Pulantani and Teluk Haur village, Haur Gading district, Hulu Sungai Utara
Regency. Data obtained from the lock through in-depth interviews were analyzed
by descriptive qualitative, data from result of Focus Group Discussion were
analysed using the SWOT analysis, and data from respondents were quantitatively
analyzed. This strategy can be developed in community empowerment is to utilize
the form of unproductive land on HPK/APL by developing the People Forest and
People
Forest Plantations (57.47% of the respondents agree to use the land) with
plants Jelutong (47.1% agree), Ramin (16.09% agree), gemor (20.69% agree). It
also must develop programs to improve productivity such as agriculture and Itik
Alabio animal husbandry and also diversified crafts Purun and improve economic
networks artisans The study recommends the following: (a) shall be to support
and commitment of all stakeholders (public, private, business, NGOs and
communities), especially in terms of funding and leadership involvement, (b)
Specifically, the Tambak Sari Panji village, the activities required by the
community development model is jelutung planting and maintenance, and
strengthening farmers' groups; to the Pulantani village activity is required is
the strengthening of community capacity in the nursery and gemor jelutung, and
to the activities required is Teluk Haur Village socialization and increased
public awareness in forest management, particularly development gemor and
jelutung, and, (c) Further research is needed especially related to how
technical of reforestation adapted to the biophysical aspects, socio-cultural
and community that have been presented in this study.
