SIFAT FISIKA DAN MEKANIKA PAPAN PARTIKEL PELEPAH RUMBIA (Metroxylon sagus Rottb)

Abstract: This research aim to know the nature of physics covering rate irrigate, thick development, absorbtion irrigate and the particle board closeness and also know the nature of mechanics covering limber impregnability (MoE) and broken (MoR) pursuant to comparison raw material of thatch frond with husk and without husk. This research method use Complete Random Device by 2 different treatment and 5 times the restating, treatment A (thatch frond without husk) and treatment B ( thatch frond with husk).  This research indicate that the nature of physics at treatment A yield best value that is 11,865% while treatment B with value 12,828 %.  Thick development, treatment A with value 5,083% and treatment B with value 6,672%. Water absorbtion, saleable of A with value 28,935% and treatment B with value 29,457%.  Closeness, treatment A with value 0,4054 gr/cm3 and treatment B 0,4004 gr/cm3.  The nature mechanics of Limber Impregnability (MoE), highest treatment is treatment A with value 13.729,132 kg/cm2 and treatment B with value 8.358,328 kg/cm2.  Impregnabilityb, treatment of A with value 108,724 kg/cm2 and treatment of B with value 89,148 kg/cm2.  The conclusion  of this research is particle board of thatch frond without husk (treatment A) owning quality which better than board of particle of frond of thatch with husk (treatment B).
