SIFAT FISIKA DAN MEKANIKA PAPAN SEMEN PARTIKEL PELEPAH RUMBIA (Metroxylon sagus Rottb)
Abstract: The object of this
research is cement particle board of Rumbia branches, two treatments (A and
B) are applied; barked Rumbia branches
(A) and barkless Rumbia branches (B). The objective of the
research is to find out physical
characteristics of cement particle board of Rumbia branches (Metroxylon sagu
Rottb) namely density, moisture content, water absorption and it’s thickness stability. Mechanical
characteristics also analysis included
Modulus of Rapture (MoR) and Modulus of
pressure. Based on this research Rumbia waste will useful. Physical and
mechanical characteristics of cement particle
board of barked Rumbia is better than cement particle board of barkless Rumbia.
Physical characteristics of B treatment;
moisture content is 53.57 %, density is 0.89 gr/cm3, water absorption is
35.86 % and thickness expanded is 1.79 %. Mechanical characteristics of B
treatment ; Modulus of Rapture (MoR) is 24.23 kg/cm2 and Modulus of pressure is
7.87 %.
