POLA PEMANFAATAN DAN KONTRIBUSI HASIL HUTAN NON KAYU TERHADAP PENDAPATAN TOTAL RUMAH TANGGA MASYARAKAT SUKU BUKIT DAYAK PEGUNUNGAN MERATUS
Abstract: The research is
conducted to studi the utilization pattern of Non Timber Forest Product (NTFPs)
by Dayak Bukit Cummunity and to find out the contribution value of the product
to the total income of the community, living in Lok Lahung at Meratus mountain area. The research discover that the
utilization pattern of NTFPs can be grouped into the NTFPs for subsisten need
and the NTFPs for house holds income as cash (money). The type of forest
product they gather are bamboo, latex, cassie vera, sintuk tree bark, rattan
exudates crust (dammar), honey, aleurites seeds, edible fruits ,hunted animals,
mashroms, young bamboo shoots orchid plants. Important factors possibly
affecting the utilization of NTFPs are
households income status, oicking season, or fruiting of forest trees
and the market price of the forest products.The average income of household sampled
received from NTFPs is Rp. 4.834.666,-
Where ada the average income without NTFPs Rp. 1.657.577 percapita in on
years.The contribution of NTFPs to the income of Lok Lahung village is 66,65%,
while the contribution other income generating activities is 33,35%. It can be
concluded that the share of NTFPs to the community income is very large which
make the NTFPs dominant as the source of income for people of Lok Lahung
village.
