PERSEPSI DAN PARTISIPASI MASYARAKAT SEKITAR DAS TERHADAP TERJADINYA BANJIR DI KABUPATEN TANAH LAUT
Abstract: The Floading on
Tanah Laut regency were predicted by waterseheed damaged. There are 7 watersheed system to be
downstream at Java sea as integreted system. However, There are 5 watersheeds
of 7 that often floaded namely Kintap, Asam-asam, Swarangan, Tabanio and Maluka
watersheed. The problem was caused by people activity who no care environment
sustainibility especially forest sustainibility. The aim of this research was
study people’s perception and participation on floading in their area that
added with their activities around watershed to be able as recommendation for
effort floading management. The result showed activity by people on upper
course at Kintap and Tabanio watersheed who had employee as logging cutting and
gold mining. However, the people’s activity was lower big companies to
contribute degradation and deforestation that to be able change landscape like
kind mining activity and estate. The perception of people to important value of
river were positively although participation level of people were still lower
to protect dan manage the river. Therefore, the government has to increase
motivation’s people to manage river and defend river sustainibilty.
