Abstract: Nitrogen
fertilization is often a limiting factor for increasing rice production.
Excessive usage of nitrogen fertilizers in addition to inefficient plants and
also can endanger the environment. Proper fertilizer not only saves on
production costs, but with a lower dose of fertilizer, while relatively similar
results will be more profitable. The study aims to examine the relationship of
leaf color scale based on LCC method to plant nitrogen status and its influence
on some aspects of biochemistry, growth and yield of rice. Research is a pot
experiment with a factorial treatment design (4x3), arranged in a randomized
block design (RBD) with three replications. The first factor is the dose of
fertilizer nitrogen (N), which consists of four levels of urea without N
fertilizer (N0), dosages of 60 kg N / ha (N1), dosages of 120 kg N / ha (N2),
and fertilization 180 kg N / ha (N3). The second factor is the paddy varieties
(V) consists of three varieties: IR-64 varieties (V1), Memberamo (V2) and
Cisadane (V3). Treatment combinations of 12 treatments. 36 experimental units,
each consisting of six plants. The total number of plants (pot) in this study
as many as 216 plants. The results showed that nitrogen fertilization increased
the growth of plant height and number of tillers, and increased intensity of
green color. Growth of three rice varieties genetically diverse are
morphologically crop varieties Cisadane shorter. Response of three varieties on
nitrogen fertilization was similar on growth, green leaf and chlorophyll
content.
