FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN TINGKAT PARTISIPASI MASYARAKAT SEKITAR TAMBANG PT ARUTMIN INDONESIA SATUI MINE DALAM PELAKSANAAN PROGRAM AKU HIMUNG PETANI BANUA
Abstract: The purposes of this
research aimed to analyze correlation between social economy factor (income
rank and education rank), and culture factor (work ethos) within the
participation of local society around PT Arutmin Indonesia Satui Mine area in
Aku Himung Petani Banua Programme. This research was conducted in Bukit Baru
village Satui district Tanah Bumbu regency and Sei Cuka village Kintap district
in Tanah Laut regency – South of Kalimantan province from August to October
2008. The respondents for this research consisted of 33 respondents from 104
persons selected by proportional random sampling on the strength of ethnic
group representation which they were joined in Aku Himung Petani Banua
Programme. The local society participation rank was analyzed using 3 item
activity indicators of participation in Aku Himung Petani Banua Programme, and
there are illumination activity, training activity and the local society
respons for demploting assistance. Second, the correlation between social
economy factors (income rank and education rank), and culture factor (work
ethos) within the participation of local society around PT Arutmin Indonesia
Satui Mine area in that program were analyzed using spearman rank as applied.
The results showed that the participation of local society was in hight rank
category at 84,85%. The spearman rank correlation analisys showed that the
social economy factors (income rank and education rank), and culture factor
(work ethos) were not correlated with the local society participation rank in
Aku Himung Petani Banua Programme. Result of this observation estimated that
demploting assistance as economy motive was correlated with the participation
of local society around PT Arutmin Indonesia Satui Mine area in Aku Himung
Petani Banua Programme.
