KIPRAH FOURCOLOURS FILMS DALAM GERAKAN FILM INDEPENDEN DI YOGYAKARTA
Abstract: This study attempts
to analyze the involvement of Fourcolours Films in independent ilm movement in
Yogyakarta. The purpose of this study was to determine the involvement of
Fourcolours Films in independent ilm movements in Yogyakarta and to ind out how
the thinking of those in Fourcolours Films about themselves and what they do in
the Fourcolours Films. The methodology used
in this study
is the analysis
of ethnographic, seeing
trough Anthony Giddens’s structuration
theory. The results
revealed that as
a center of economic, government and politics
activity, Jakarta offer capital, technology and also ease in dealing with
government bureaucracy. This dependence to Jakarta perceived impedes the
creative process of ilmmaker in Yogyakarta. Because Fourcolours Films has the
spirit to changed Yogyakarta as one of the mecca of ilm industry, in their
daily activities Fourcolours Films has to be open to the people of Yogyakarta
who want to study ilm. Fourcolours Films wants to develop the ilm industry in
Yogyakarta although faced with various limitations, in fact this also make the
people in Fourcolours Films being more creative.
