HUMAS SEBAGAI PENGELOLA OPINI PUBLIK Studi Deskriptif Pengelolaan Isu Etnis Tiong Hoa Pasca Penertiban Lahan Di Bantaran Sungai Cisadane Oleh Humas Pemerintah Kota Tangerang
Sari: This study aims to
determine the function of public relations officer in its function as manager
of public opinion. In this case about the public opinion that developed after
the enforcement of Cisadane’s side at Tangerang City that pertaining to racial
issues of Tiong Hoa’s ethnic who inhabit this place illegally. The method
applied in this research is descriptive analysis method with techniquesof data
collection by unstructured interviews, observation of non pastisipant and
documentation. The point of this research is the public relations officer on
Tangerang City Government perform its functions in managing public opinion in
put an act ti minimize and to break up the adverse public opinion and
government leaders of Tangerang City. Public relations office of Tangerang
city’s government do some act to management communication strategies in
managing public opinion as fact finding, planning, communicating and
evaluating. Fact finding that they did such as monitoring conducted by the news
media. Then planning communication activities include activities that are accidental
and planned communications strategy. After that the implementation plan of
communications activities such as the right answer, subpoena, clarification and
raising support. And last is the stage of evaluation by re-monitoring the news
again.
