Fungsi Uang dalam Perspektif Ekonomi Islam
Abstract: Simply put money
defined everything that can be used as a tool in the exchange. By law, money is
something that is defined by law as money. So everything can be accepted as
money if no rule or law which indicates that something that can be used as a
medium of exchange. In an Islamic economy, the functions of money which is
recognized only as a medium of exchange and unit count (units of account). Money
itself does not provide the use/benefit, but uanglah functions that provide
functionality. Money is useful if exchanged for the real thing or if it is used
to purchase services. Therefore, money can not be a commodity/goods that can be
traded.
In the Islamic economic concept of money is owned by the community (money
is public goods). Any person who hoard money or be left unproductive means
reducing the money supply which can result
in not running the economy. If someone is deliberately stacking the money is
not spent, is tantamount to impede the process or the smooth sale and purchase.
The implication in the economy hampered the exchange process. Besides, the
accumulation of money or property can also encourage people tend to not good
traits such as greedy, greedy and lazy charity (zakat, infak and sadaqah).
