KAJIAN EUTHANASIA MENURUT HAM (STUDI BANDING HUKUM NASIONAL BELANDA)
Abstrak: Legalization of
euthanasia and physician assisted suicide has been heavily debated in many
countries. Euthanasia when viewed in the perspective of hman rights according
to the counter is considered a human rights violation because it involves the
right to life of the patient must be protected. Euthanasia caused a breach of
human rights against the rights of human life because they deliberately shorten
a person's life. However, in reality happens in practice euthanasia becomes a
way out of a problem related to human life in this patient. The Netherlands
became the first country to successfully make euthanasia legal and made them as
a model to other countries to legalized euthanasia. Euthanasia has not been a
criminal offence in Netherlands since 1984, when courts and the Royal Dutch
Medical Associatuon drew up ten clearly defined guidelines and conditions for doctors.
