Abstract: Antioxidant activity
test in each fraction from the leaves of Vitex pinnata. The sample of leaves was
extracted with ethanol absolute and then concentrate by using rotary
evaporator. The ethanol hard extract were fractioned with n-hexane, ethyl
acetat, n-butanol and water. Based on the antioxidant activity by scavenging
activity of 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH). The results of this test
showed that the most active fraction was ethyl acetat fraction and non-toxic on
Bhrine Shrimp Lethality Test (BST). Based on the phytochemical screening on
secondary metabolits of the leaves, the ethyl acetat fraction were contained by
flavonoid, alkaloid, phenol, saponin and triterpenoid.
