Perbandingan Efektifitas Antibakteri Ekstrak Daun dan Akar Mirabillis Jalapa L. Terhadap Bakteri S. aureus dan E. coli
ABSTRACT: Leaves and roots of
Mirabillis jalapa L is one of part plant empirically used by people as medicine
for surpass infection disease like infection channel urine and abscess. So
that, there are hypothesis that both of this part plant has containt chemical
which active as antibacteri. the purpose of this research for determine the
effectiveness of antibacterial extracts from leaves and roots Mirabilis jalapa
L. for Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacteri. This research was
done with extracting chem active in leaves and roots Mirabilis jalapa L using
ethanol solvent. Then extract containt shared five concentration is 10 µg/ml,
50µg/ml, 100 µg/ml, 500 µg/ml, dan 1000 µg/mL. The test effectivness done by
difusi method so using paper disc. The result of test be process by SPSS to One
Way Anova. The result of test showed that leaves Mirabillis jalapa L. has effect
better compained with roots of Mirabilis jalapa L in case grow bacteria
Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli with concentration the best dose
1000 µg/mL.
