PENGARUH INTELLECTUAL CAPITAL, DEPOSITS, CAR, DAN KOMISARIS INDEPENDEN TERHADAP KINERJA KEUANGAN BANK UMUM SWASTA NASIONAL NON-DEVISA YANG TERDAFTAR DI BEI TAHUN 2012-2015


Abstract: Banks as financial intermediary institutions have an important role in the economy of country. This study aims to examine the influences of intellectual capital, deposits, CAR, and independent commissioners on the financialperformance of banks. Financial performance of banks using ROA as proxy. This research uses quantitativeapproach and secondary data which were collected from 2012-2015 of bank financial statement published byIndonesian Stock Exchange. The research objects are Non-Devisa National Private Banks that listed on theIndonesian Stock Exchange. The sample of the study is 8 banks chosen by purposive sampling method. The methodof analysis used is multiple linear regression. The results showed that intellectual capital, deposits and independentcommissioners have an influences on financial performance. While the CAR has no effect on financial performance. Banks were able to utilized optimally the intellectual capital resources, financial performance increased. Banks with high deposit value and active loans distribution have the potential to achieved better financial performance. However, the existence of an excessive number of independent commissioners is unable to supported the improvement of the bank's financial performance. The inability of banks to managed and utilized high capital adequacy causes CAR has no effect the financial performance of banks. The main recommendation given by this research from the positive influence of intellectual capital and deposits on financial performance, the company can focus on resource of intellectual capital utilization and deposits optimally. Investor can also take advantage of intellectual capital and deposits on investment decision making.
