FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEPENGARUHI KEPATUHAN DIET DIABETES PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELLITUS TIPE 2
Abstract: Diabetes Mellitus
(DM) is a chronic disease characterized by high blood glucose levels. Diet
obedience is one of the factors contributing to the success of the treatment of
patients with diabetes type 2. This study aims to determine the factors
affecting diabetes diet obedience of diabetes mellitus type 2 patients in
Rejosari Community Health Center. This research uses descriptive correlation
research design with cross sectional approach. 47 respondents are taken as the samples
of the research. They are taken based on the inclusion criteria using purposive
sampling technique. The measuring tool used is a set of questionnaires with
variables which are knowledge, attitude, motivation, family support and
diabetic diet obedience in which validity and reliability test has been done.
The analyses used are univariate analysis in order to know the frequency
distribution and bivariate using chi square test. The results of the study
shows that factors related to diabetic diet obedience of diabetes patients with
type 2 are knowledge (p value = 0,009), attitude (p value = 0,004), motivation
(p value = 0,008), family support (p value = 0,031). Therefore, it can be
concluded that knowledge, attitude, motivation and family support are factors
that play important roles in improving diet obedience. Some suggestions for
patients with diabetes type 2 are that they should be diligent in controlling
blood sugar levels and obey the dietary patterns recommended by paramedics to
prevent and to avoid the occurrence of DM complications.
