Abstract: Hypertension is an
increasing arterial blood pressure which is abnormally persistent when systolic
blood pressure equal to or greater than 140 mmHg and diastolic equal to or

decreasing of blood pressure (p value = 0.000). It was concluded that there was
effect of autogenic relaxation on decreasing blood pressure of hypertension
clients. Based on the results of this study are expected to autogenic
relaxation techniques can be applied to lower blood pressure in hypertensive
